Advanced Airframes is the brainchild of Jose R. Soto, an avid modeler since youth. For many years we have been building airframes for friends and clients alike and with the advent of computers we went cyber! Our biggest complaint about the industry has always been quality, it was never easy to obtain a kit with parts that fit so we would end up making our own, this blossomed into cutting and making kits for others. While at sea with the U.S. Coast Guard, Jose built a foam cutting machine and would make three or four models during an ALPAT (Alaskan Patrol), after his military career Jose started Blue Sky Hobbies, a building service in San Juan, Puerto Rico, from there he transferred to Orlando, Florida and became a member of the RCACF, The Remote Control Association of Central Florida. Here he met some of the hobby's masters like Ed Izzo, Bob Fiorenze, Bob Violett, Don Lowe, Sal Battaglia, Norm Holland, Arnold Marcus and many, many others. These gentlemen have all contributed to my growth in the hobby and the industry. Recently we began doing work with a Bridgeport mill, also a waterjet cutting tool, CNC foam cutting and vacuum bagging. Advanced Airframes is dedicated to quality and to growing the hobby, we are here to serve.
